Don Eggert has over 25 years experience as an entrepreneur, mechanical engineer, software developer, and financial analyst. He began his career completing investment-grade analyses and designs of energy-efficient retrofits for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities in the U.S., Mexico, and Korea. Beginning in 1998, Mr. Eggert directed the development of the world's first banking software to support all microfinance methodologies and co-founded Utah-based Kredits, LLC to license and support it. As president, he helped grow a client base across 33 countries on five continents and oversaw a major investment in the company.
In 2013, Mr. Eggert co-founded Utah-based O2M Tech to support the mineral-processing industry. He helped secure the rights to the MillSoft software for analyzing ore-grinding mills, performed technology-to-market and techno-economic analysis for a new metal-sorting technology, and managed the accounting and finances for the company.
In 2018, he co-founded Utah-based EDX Magnetics to commercialize a new technology for the scrap metal industry. As president, he helped negotiate a license to the IP and helped secure grants for continued research and development. Mr. Eggert sits on the boards of the Salt Lake Arts Academy and The Utah Nordic Alliance.
In his spare time, he hikes, mountain bikes, and skis with his wife and two children. Mr. Eggert holds a physics degree from Dartmouth College and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
